QTBIPOC Programs Co-Coordinator
You must be Black, Indigenous, or a racialized person and 2SLGBTQIA+ to fill this position.
The QTBIPOC Programs Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all programming within ROSE geared towards serving our racialized members, through the organizing of events, programs, and services. Within the Coordinator Team, they serve alongside a co-coordinator in their portfolio, and operate relatively independent of the Lead Coordinator.
Specific duties include::
Connecting ROSE with local organizations dedicated to serving Black communities, Indigenous peoples, or other racialized groups, both Queer and non-queer, for potential partnerships.
Identifying program and service needs of racialized members, and developing strategies to meet these needs.
Organizing and executing event ideas to engage the community.
You must be transgender, non-binary, or gender non-conforming to fill this position.
The Affirming Gear Program Volunteer will assist the Affirming Gear Coordinator in fulfilling affirming gear requests through record management, invoicing, and deliveries.
Specific duties include:
Distributing affirming gear requests within the City of Ottawa;
Arranging affirming gear requests for authorization by the Affirming Gear Coordinator;
Maintaining contact and providing updates on affirming gear requests to program participants.
While not required, a car or other vehicle is particularly advantageous and desired for deliveries.
